Important things to look for when buying a digital body composition scale:
1. Accuracy: This scale is fairly accurate. I have been using this for more than two weeks now and I did not see any random or adverse shifts in either my body weight or composition.2. Ease of use: if you just want to check your body weight then it's a simple just step on and measure. But if you want Full body composition then you have to make sure a) application is open b) the scale is connected. Only then you can get all the details. There is no memory function that can store and sync later with the app. So that's one negative.
3. Build quality: it's glass and metal. It's elegant in looks and study in design. The display is big and easy to read. I wish there were a selection for different colours but that's just me.
4. Mobile Application: Hesley mobile app is great to provide lots of statistics about your body. I am sure everyone has already read in the description. It can sync your data with Google Fit and Fitbit both. But Fitbit connect never works as the "Chinese" vendor for this application did not setup the server properly. The app will ask you to sync or not, if the there is too much fluctuation in the reading from the previous one.
Now few important tips which I learnt after using it for a while now
1. Take body composition measurements after you wake up before taking bath as measurements will get affected by the water content of the body. So just take one measurement a day if you want this scale to provide you accurate results.
2. Take multiple samples while doing the measurement. Say 2 or 3 maybe.
3. If you want to connect to Fitbit, then do not use the Healey app use the original vendor of the application. Search for AIFit in Google Play Store or Apple app store. That application will work with this scale and let you sync with Fitbit. Though this is also a hit or miss case.
I am happy with the purchase but I took away 1 🌟 just because I strongly feel that scale is made by china and marketed by German company Healey. I would be much happier if the scale was a real German product.
